Want to start a successful men’s ministry in your church? You’ve come to the WRONG place. Our mission is NOT helping churches start a men’s ministry. There are plenty of fine organizations that do that.
At Church for Men, we help churches create an environment where men can thrive in every aspect of church life. Instead of creating a little outpost of masculinity called men’s ministry, we help churches unleash the masculine spirit throughout the organization.
Here’s the traditional approach (men’s ministry) vs. the Church for Men approach:
The first model represents the usual approach – we try to create a program that will involve men in church. We call it Men’s Ministry. But man stuff doesn’t fit very well with the rest of the church, so we get out the krazy glue and attach it tenuously to the feminine church body. Then we tell men, “Look boys, we’ve created a men’s ministry for you. Go be masculine in there. But when you come to church on Sunday, check your testosterone at the door.”
No wonder men are confused and hesitant in our churches.
At Church for Men we’re not anti-Men’s Ministry. But why put all this time and effort into a program that will only reach about 10% of the men who attend your church? The vast majority of men don’t go to a Men’s Ministry program — they go to church. And if the church service does not speak to their hearts, you’ve lost them.
Church for Men’s approach is different. We show men and women how to integrate a healthy, life-giving masculine spirit throughout their churches and their personal ministries. We’ll show you how to weave adventure, challenge, boldness, competition, hands-on communication, ferocity and fun into your walk with God – and how to bring those things to church life. Once men see their values lived out in every area of Christian endeavor, their comfort level will increase. And you’ll see more of them in church.
