I am curious as to why our world became so informal so fast. Why, even in my lifetime I’ve seen people stop dressing for all but the most formal occasions. Why so many aspects of politeness have gone by the wayside. Why expediency almost always trumps “doing the right thing.”
Slacking isn’t laziness. I define it as “failing to engage with the institutions that have defined and governed society.” Today’s young adults are increasingly rejecting the societal norms that have defined adulthood since the dawn of the republic.
We tend to see the “sexual revolution” as something new. It is not. We are merely reverting to the loose and varied sexual practices that prevailed for millennia in preliterate societies. Sexually speaking, we are returning to the stone age.
Why have most civilizations been hostile toward homosexuality? Why does the Bible call it “an abomination?” Why is the modern world suddenly accepting this long forbidden practice? And what impact will this have on the church and its men?
